The rooftop was the highlight of our stay at Hotel Laki. Watching the Northern Lights up there was absolutely amazing, and the breakfast staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room had a couple of problems: the light didn’t work, and the small bathroom cabinet was broken. It was an okay stay, but not outstanding. Great for aurora viewing, though the rooms could use some improvements.

We stayed two nights at Laki Hotel during our August 2025 road trip around Iceland. The room was very clean and spacious, with a balcony and a brilliant view of the glaciers when the weather allowed. The reception service could have paid more attention to guests, though the restaurant servers were excellent, professional, and friendly. The food and drinks, including breakfast, were amazing. We enjoyed the stay, but the room price felt too high for us.

My girlfriend and I spent two nights at Laki Hotel, and everything was nice. We saw the Northern Lights from the hotel parking lot, thanks to its location. Breakfast was good, the room was tidy and pleasant, and the staff were friendly and polite. A great experience!

We loved everything during our one day and one night at this hotel, from check-in right through to the last moment. The staff were especially kind, particularly Jose & Arna. They were welcoming, polite, friendly, and full of useful information about our trip here in Islande. Breakfast was perfect, with good, healthy food. My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our recent trip. The rooms, dining, and bar were all fabulous, and the hotel made a perfect halfway stop between the Jokulsarlon glacier area and Vik. Would recommend!
