Einishus Cottages

The outdoor hot tub is the main reason to book this cottage. It's huge and deep, with lovely fresh hot water, and we spent hours in it. The place is peaceful, right in nature, and very quiet at night. There are five houses total, two bigger and three smaller; we stayed in a small one. Opening two suitcases was a little awkward, but no big deal. Inside, there's a table with four chairs, a couch, and a small kitchen with everything needed to cook a decent meal. The barbecue outside is great, the bathroom is nice, the beds are fine, and the heated floor was lovely.

It was very easy to check in at 2 a.m. and leave at 7 a.m. using the self-service check-in and check-out. There are two clean rooms and a living room, and all the necessary information is in the file.

We spent two nights here and enjoyed it. The big windows make the living area bright, and the kitchen, dining, and living spaces are open plan, with a loft above the living room. The loft is useful if you need more than two bedrooms. The bedrooms are small, but we mostly hung out in the main room, so that was fine. We used the outdoor hot tub and BBQ without any trouble. We drove from the cottage to Húsavík for whale watching and back. It's peaceful out in a large open field among low hills, and being near Highway 1 made it easy to find and get back on the road for the next part of our trip.

The outdoor hot tub was a blast, and the whole stay felt really special. These cabins are beautifully designed and meticulously maintained, with everything you need in a tidy, lovely space amid breathtaking scenery. The owner is friendly, and shops and a few restaurants are just a short drive away.
