The grounds were nice to walk around, and the buildings had lots of interesting history. The restaurant was excellent, though pricey, and well worth it. Breakfast was great too. We stayed two nights in quiet, clean, comfortable dorm rooms. It's a school for nine months of the year, then a hotel in summer. There was no TV, which was fine.

We arrived late, but check-in was easy, and our room was clean and peaceful. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect, with fresh food, good coffee, and a beautiful view.

The breakfast was decent, but the common dining area felt awful, like a hospital. Our room was small, smelled bad, and was generally uncomfortable. The place was really below average, yet still charged Icelandic prices.

Breakfast and parking were included, and laundry services were available. The price was great, the hotel was great too, though the location was just okay.

We barely had time to look around outside because we quickly got swarmed by midges, though that's a regional issue. The hotel itself is a great little place, with pleasant service, good food, and good rooms. The shower door was an unusual bi-folding style, and there's a public pool nearby for an evening float.
