We spent three nights here as a family of five adults, self-catering, and had an amazing time. The setting and those incredible views were beyond what we expected. It felt like being in a movie.

This is a uniquely beautiful home built into the side of Iceland's tallest mountain, in a private spot with easy parking and entry. The views from the windows and outdoor hot tub are fantastic. Inside, there's a large living, kitchen, and dining space, three nice bedrooms, comfortable beds, and two good-sized bathrooms with strong water flow. Hosts were prompt and professional when we contacted them. There's a restaurant about a 100-yard walk away. It's also well placed for glacier, climbing, waterfall, and air-adventure trips in southeast Iceland, with an airstrip nearby.

This was our favorite place in Iceland. Everything felt top quality, from the kitchenette to the hair conditioner. We saw the northern lights right outside the front door, then watched the green aurora while soaking in the outdoor hot tub.

Klettasel Villa was lovely, with beautiful views and thoughtful decor. The location worked perfectly for our trip along southern Iceland. Definitely worth staying.

Our family of five had such a good time in this villa that nobody wanted to leave. There are three large rooms with views and all the modern comforts, plus a superb outlook. If it fits your budget, this is a gem. And great for Instagram, too!
