I thought this was one of the nicest places we stayed in Iceland, so the current 4.5 rating feels too low. The rooms were clean, the hotel looked beautiful, and breakfast was fabulous.

A few hours before I arrived at Kiðagil Guesthouse, I fell and badly sprained my ankle. I nearly canceled so I wouldn't have to keep driving that day, but I'm very glad I didn't. I didn't realize how much I needed kindness until I reached the guesthouse and received so much of it. The owners, room, and surroundings were all wonderful, and they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and enjoyed my stay. Thank you!!

The views from our room were lovely, and there was a huge parking lot. The service was really friendly, and I can't recommend the tea enough. Breakfast was included, which makes a big difference when you're trying to eat a full meal on a budget trip.

A lovely place to stop for a meal. The Atlantic Char was delicious, and so was the beef fillet.

The buffet breakfast was included and generous, with great coffee and juices. We had nice hot showers and no sign of the hot water running out. The bathroom was just perfect, and the rooms were clean and well organized. Great value, with kind, attentive service.
