100 Iceland Hotel

The room was fairly spacious, clean, and had a large wardrobe. Most of the furniture looked like it came from IKEA. The building had a lift with a glass wall on one side, and cars could be parked behind the hotel. There was nobody at the front desk, and the entrance door was small. The shower curtain didn't cover the area properly, so the bathroom floor was completely wet afterward. Water pressure was weak too. Breakfast was served at a nearby hotel. There were other places to eat and a convenience store close by.

The location was good, but the room was awful: barely clean, smelly, and with a really uncomfortable mattress. There was extensive water damage to the floorboards, and I didn't feel safe there. Glad I only had a short stay. The staff were very rude. Reception wasn't open around the clock, and I couldn't even figure out what its actual hours were. Very strange.

We stayed one night before boarding a cruise. From the international airport we took the Flybus to the transfer station, then another transfer bus that dropped us very close to the hotel. The room was clean and basic, with internet and a water kettle. There's a small supermarket nearby, and the hotel is just by a street packed with places to eat, with lots of variety.

I had a clean, comfortable two-night stay in July, and getting an early check-in was a lovely surprise. The hotel is easy to reach on foot around town, with several bus stops just steps from the door. Noise didn't bother me much, though I do sleep with earplugs. I missed having a do not disturb sign, since I prefer not to get fresh towels and bedding every day on a short stay. There was also no fridge or other place to keep food cold. Even so, I'd stay here again next time I'm in town.
