Central Premium Luxury Apartments

A lovely apartment, warm from the underfloor heating even as we sat on the balcony in winter looking out at the snow. The appliances were all in good working order and a really good standard.

The apartment is spacious, with a kitchenette and a balcony overlooking a lovely street view at night. Two markets nearby made cooking easy. Shops and restaurants are close, and churches, monuments, and the water’s edge are within walking distance. It’s a great city location. The only trouble was finding the place and getting in touch with the office when we arrived, which took some time. Still, I’d definitely use it again.

After busy days around Iceland, this was a comfortable place to unwind in the evening with friends and a drink. The apartment was clean, spacious, and well maintained. I’d definitely stay here again.

This could have been a nice apartment, but advertising it as having two bedrooms is infuriating. The “second bedroom” is a wardrobe with no windows, ventilation, or furnishings except a bed. The whole space is at most 5 square metres, and though the bed is made for two, it comfortably fits one adult. The wardrobe has its own entrance from the main complex hallway, where a brisk wind comes through. Is that meant to be a plus? I also have to wonder whether rooms like this are even legal in Iceland. It would’ve been less frustrating if the seller or landlord had mentioned the setup in the listing. Parking is unclear too, since all the spots are marked for private apartments.
