We were disappointed by the apartment. It smelled strongly of fish when we arrived, and there had been a mix-up with the keys. The only contact we could reach was the office, and they weren't much help. The place is on a separate site from the Luna Apartments listing and isn't shown there, so renters can't see what it looks like before booking. It's a narrow walk-up on the third floor, which would be especially hard for an older person carrying luggage.

The apartment was very clean, and it came with tea and a towel warmer. Street and nightlife noise from downstairs carries inside, so light sleepers should keep that in mind. After checkout I had time before my bus and wanted to leave my bags at the off-site office. Several emails and the website said it would be open, but it wasn't. I ended up carrying a large suitcase and backpack around the city in the rain, which made my last day in Iceland miserable.

Ocean met us when we arrived in November for a long weekend, showed us how everything worked, and gave us a phone with satnav so we wouldn't be charged for using ours. He asked about our plans, marked places on a map for seeing the northern lights, and suggested spots for food and shopping. Later, when we ran into him on the Main Street, he stopped to ask how the trip was going. The apartments were modern and very clean, with everything we needed, and the central location was perfect. I'd happily recommend the 37 apartment, and I'm already planning to come back.

The location is really good, and the apartment was clean with all the appliances working. Still, Apartment 4 has a few drawbacks. There’s no parking at the apartment, so you have to use parking zones in Rekyavik. It's basically a one-room apartment because the bedroom door doesn't close properly and lets light and sound through. That's fine for two people, but I'd suggest somewhere else for a larger group. There are old nails and screws sticking out of the walls, and the lights are bare bulbs hanging from the ceiling. The wifi is poor, slow when it works and sometimes unavailable.

The Studio (Art House) was nice and clean, and the location was perfect. I stayed three nights in February 2017. There were no windows, so ventilation was lacking.
