Helluland Guesthouse

We booked two rooms and found them very comfortable. Even with every room taken, the place never felt crowded, and we didn’t have to wait for either of the two shared bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner, with enough room to eat together. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The horse farm gives the property a lovely, distinctive feel. After dinner we hiked up the mountains behind the house, an experience we won’t forget. We had a wonderful stay at Helluland Guesthouse, and would highly recommend it as a place to stay in Iceland.

The view is beautiful, and the host is really nice. The guesthouse was very clean. The room was noisy, though, and the bathroom was so small that taking a proper shower was difficult.

We had a lovely night in this historic home, just outside town. There are horses on the property.

We got to see the beautiful horses being herded up the driveway toward the barn, which was a real treat. The guesthouse was clean and well kept, and the Wi-Fi worked well. Our four-person bedroom was roomy and comfortable. The bathrooms were small but adequate, and the big kitchen was well equipped. There was a large dining table with space for several people to eat together, plus a little sitting room. The house is on the side of a hill with a lovely outlook. Thanks for a great stay.
