The location was a big part of what we loved, a fishing village tucked behind a fjord, far from the cities and the rest of the world. We were here on a winter trip hoping to see the Northern Lights, and Hotel Siglo was a perfect fit. Our room was spacious, cozy, and comfortable, with a window seat where I could read. The hotel was nicely decorated and well maintained, and we enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. The staff were friendly and helpful, and made us feel well cared for. We highly recommend Hotel Siglo!

The staff really went out of their way to help. When I needed something and every store was closed, they managed to find it for me. They were friendly, helpful, and prompt with requests. Breakfast had lots of delicious options and was more than adequate. The rooms were a good size, with a gorgeous view. This hotel feels like a diamond in a tiny, out-of-the-way Icelandic place. I hope to return someday.

The breakfast was the nicest we had on our trip, and the staff were incredibly hospitable, kind, and welcoming. The hot tub was sensational, and the bathrobes and slippers they provided were perfect. This hotel was just the taste of luxury we needed. We only stayed one night and wished we’d booked longer. Try the Herring.

There’s a hot tub and dry sauna out front, and the rooms are well thought out, with nice beds and a radiator-warmed bench seat by the window. If the smaller places in town are closed, I’d recommend eating in the restaurant. Either way, you’ll end up paying about 10000 ISK.

This was our treat during a nine-night Ring Road drive. The hotel was luxurious and comfortable, and we thought the outdoor hot tub was phenomenal. We highly recommend both the hotel and the community.
