It was a nice surprise to find the vegetarian Tajine was actually vegan. My wife chose that, and I had a really great Tajine too. We had a very good dinner at Siglunes Restaurant, which was open even in winter, when many other restaurants here are closed. You don’t expect food like this in a small village like Siglufjörður.

The Moroccan Tajine cooking was phenomenal. We were so pleased, and surprised, to find a restaurant of this caliber in such a small community. We highly recommend it.

The Tajines, cod and lamb, were mouthwatering, and the shrimp mango salad and Moroccan pastille were pure bliss. This was truly delicious, authentic Moroccan food. We highly recommend giving it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

The fish and lamb tagines were so good that we wanted more. Icelandic lamb cooked slowly with Moroccan flavours is a match made in heaven. If you’re in Siglufjörður, your trip isn’t complete without a meal here.

I’m glad I went for the three-course meal. The homemade bread and cheese were among the best things I ate on my travels, and the crème brûlée was divine. The staff were so friendly and even found a table for one for me. It’s an amazing restaurant, a total surprise in a small Icelandic town, and worth planning a meal around.
