Welcome Holiday homes

Those big glass windows were great for checking for any aurora borealis activity. The tiny homes have a kitchenette and all the amenities, and the beds were very comfortable. The location is great too, less than 10 mins from Skogafoss 👍

We came in to really cold rooms, and nobody was there to meet us even though we'd contacted the receptionist. We waited an hour for them, with no answer to our calls. The personnel were really bad.

At 21:15 there was nobody there, and no one picked up the phone. The beds were small and uncomfortable. The bathroom had no windows, but the glass pane let people see the silhouettes of anyone showering. Terrible. Avoid.

We stayed four nights because we liked the location for day trips to local places within an hours drive, and it was convenient to make dinners and breakfast at the home. Self check-in was simple. The bathroom was nice, with heated floors and a towel warmer, though the shower trim was coming off the wall and needed a small repair. The bedroom was so small there was no room to walk around to the other side of the bed. The bigger problem was the staff and their lack of communication and professionalism. On day two I asked for fresh towels and got confirmation, but none arrived. I contacted them again on day three and got no reply. The number they provided went unanswered too. On day four, before heading out, we drove to the hotel run by the same property management to speak to someone. My friend went in after we saw a man and woman outside smoking. The woman went inside first, then the man a short while later. My friend came back with a worried look. The woman told her towels are changed daily, snickered at her, and pretty much brushed us off. We were actually quite shocked to get towels that day. By then we were so frustrated we considered leaving and finding somewhere else for the night. Save your money and DO NOT STAY HERE! I don't recommend it. We checked more reviews and found this is a repeating pattern for this place.
