Díma Studio Apartments

We could see the auroras from the apartment on one of the nights, though Hofn has a lot of light, so sometimes we had to go outside town to see them. The darker area is only a short distance away, and being close to essential services makes up for that. The apartment is centrally located, with a spacious, clean room, a very comfortable bed, an excellent bathroom, and a kitchen with pretty much everything you'd expect. There was an uncomfortable moment when we arrived and found the apartment already occupied, but the hostess resolved it immediately.

This was the sixth place we'd stayed on our loop around the country, and the only one with a sink that made filling water bottles easy. The owner pays attention to details, and the place was super clean with fast internet. The full kitchen was the best part. If you want a break from Iceland's very expensive restaurants, you could stay here for a few nights and do your one-night hops at hotels.

The owner was very, very helpful and nice, and suggested the best restaurants in town. They even gave us a last-minute discount. The apartment is new, really nice, with a beautiful bathroom and close to all the good restaurants. It's on the ground floor, so people can see inside unless you keep the curtains closed, but that was a minor thing. Z-bistro is next door, and we heard a little noise at night, though it didn't bother our sleep at all. Everything was quiet by 10 pm.

The apartment is on the first floor of Z bistro, so it's easy to find, and check-in is handled at the restaurant reception. The room is spacious, tidy, and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and toilet; the sofa and bed are comfortable too. The downside is that the washroom floods when you shower.
