Viking Café Guesthouse

We only visited the café, and it was a great experience. The food was good, the toilets were clean, and the staff were extremely friendly. There was a small mix-up with one order, but they apologized so sincerely and gave us something free to make up for it. I’m extremely pleased with the visit and can recommend it to everyone!

We got in a little late, after dark, and a staff member kindly walked us to our room. That thoughtful help meant a lot. Everyone was kind and helpful, and they took time to explain what was nearby and how to get to the sights. The atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming, and the whole stay was personal and warm. Breakfast was fresh, hearty, and amazing. We had a wonderful stay at Viking Cafe & Guesthouse, and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling through this beautiful part of Iceland.

The bathrooms and showers were super clean, and the café had really good muffins. Our camping fee included tickets for the vestihorn Mountain View. There was a small outdoor kitchen, but since it was winter the stoves had been removed. I could still use my own camper stove there. The walk to the lighthouse and seals seemed long, and the route was a bit confusing because a nato station blocked it off. Even so, it was a great stay. It was very empty in winter, with only us and one other camper van.

The waffles at breakfast were amazing, though the rest was alright. Staff were friendly, and the rooms were tidy, clean, and fairly modern. Staying right at Stokksnes Beach is a highlight in itself. If you really want to explore this area, you can’t go wrong here.
