Guesthouse Carina

We spent three nights at Guesthouse Carina and had a great stay. It was cozy and quiet, kept comfortably warm, and the sitting area had really nice views. We’d booked two separate two-bed rooms but were upgraded to a small apartment with two bedrooms. Andreea at reception was welcoming and quickly helped us with everything we needed. I didn’t try the kitchen food, so I can’t comment on it. The apartment was a bit too warm for me, and there was no way to adjust the floor heating. I’m personally less tolerant of heat, though. I’d definitely stay again.

A change of plans meant we booked online at the last minute, and there was some confusion over our room. The staff were helpful and sorted it out straight away. The house is lovely, and breakfast the next morning was really nice. I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

The manager made sure everyone knew when an aurora appeared outside, and the guesthouse was perfectly placed to watch it. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade bread and several choices. The bathrooms are shared, but there are a few on each floor, and I never had to wait. I’d booked at the last minute, but a technical issue meant the room I reserved wasn’t available. The manager on duty was very apologetic. Luckily, there was one room left that suited one person, and they offered to refund the difference.

My husband and I stayed one night at Guesthouse Carina, and it was one of our favorite places among the seven guesthouses we visited. Everything was so clean and thoughtfully laid out. The hall bathrooms felt nice, and the modern glass breakfast room was warm and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend it.
