Bed and Breakfast Castello

The sea-facing spot made this a great place for a holiday. It sits on the Acicastello waterfront, looking toward the Faraglioni, with the town center just a short walk away and two platforms by the sea close by. There's also a live platform below the building that stays open at night. From the fourth-floor terrace, the view is lovely. It has the feel of a traditional B&B, so you share the common spaces with other travelers. The bathroom is private, though it's outside your room. At first, the setup seemed a little questionable, but the hostess was so helpful that we felt reassured. She treated us to excellent granitas, brioches, and other things at breakfast. I came away with a positive impression.

We woke up to a stunning view and Sicilian granita, which was a pretty wonderful way to start the day. Mrs. Mariagrazia welcomed us warmly and paid close attention to everything, from the clean, inviting room to breakfast. The location is excellent too. We'd happily return.

The rooms were roomy, clean, and had all the comforts, and breakfast was excellent. Mariagrazia was very kind, too. From the terrace you get a sweeping view of the Norman Castle and the Aci Trezza sea stacks, with the sea only meters away. There's a free walkway just across the street for swimming and sunbathing in the lovely water beneath the castle. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.

The view is breathtaking, and breakfast is generous, with gluten-free choices available if you ask. The place is in great shape, both in appearance and cleanliness, and the staff are friendly and helpful. They made us feel at home as soon as we arrived.
