The guest house is beautiful, and getting married there had been a dream for us. But planning the wedding with Romy and Fredy was extremely difficult, and by the end we were honestly relieved to leave. Communication was confusing from the start. We got mixed messages, plans kept changing, and agreements we’d made were often forgotten. At first they seemed friendly and relaxed, so we thought they were just a little chaotic but flexible. As time went on, though, it became very stressful. They repeatedly warned us not to break anything, even though we were being very careful, while also expecting a lot of detailed planning and asking us to handle things a guest house would usually provide. That included finding a mirror for the bride, managing guest check-ins, organizing a working cocktail service, and accommodating special food requirements. During the event, communication was still unclear and problems weren’t actively helped or resolved. We were often spoken to in a patronizing way, and they interrupted our evening program with their own announcements. They were also rude to our team and guests. The service staff were wonderful, which makes the experience all the sadder given how lovely the location is. Maybe a much smaller group would have a better experience, but based on ours, we wouldn’t recommend this venue for a wedding.

We had a perfect getaway at Villa Giarvino in August, spending several delightful days there. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and nicely decorated, and the cuisine was delicious and varied. The whole place has a superb feel, nestled among the vineyards. Freddy was a gracious host, and Romy, his partner, brought extra charm and lovely singing. We’d love to return anytime.

The food was delicious, with regional specialties, and Francesco and the whole service crew, Ornella, Grazia & Co., were professional and accommodating. The rooms are thoughtfully put together and have everything you need. Romy and Fredy are warm, welcoming owners, and Giarvino itself is unbelievably beautiful, calm, and charming. My LGBTQ 🏳️🌈 family felt very welcome and at ease here. Piemont at its finest. Thank you so much for an extraordinary stay! ❤️

The rooms, food, and service were all great, and I had an excellent experience. The wine tasting was a little different from what I’m used to, but I still enjoyed it. Recommended.

I’m still here with my family for the next few days, but this place already deserves a top review. Our hosts are rightly proud of it and have been very accommodating with our requests. It feels like a little piece of heaven on earth. Getting to Acqui Terme is convenient too, just a leisurely 10-minute drive through the stunning Piemonte scenery, whether you’re visiting for business or pleasure. We’ll be back!
