Casa Battisti

The apartment was perfect for me, spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, and well equipped. The bedroom has views of the sea and temples. And the location couldn’t be better, right beside the train station with restaurants and cafes all around. I’d give it six stars if I could, highly recommended.

The location is ideal, just by the historic center and close to the station if you’re going to the archaeological site. From the big bedroom window you can see the site and the sea, with great restaurants and a supermarket nearby too. Casa Battista was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed, including a very generous supply of water and snacks. I’ve stayed in lots of places over the years, and this is one of my favorites. Maurizio was incredibly nice and helpful. He even saved me a parking space when I arrived late. I can’t see how Casa Battista could be improved. Bravo Maurizio!

We spent a few days here at the end of August, and had one of our best stays ever. The colorful apartment is in beautiful, lively Agrigento, and both my partner and I were welcomed so warmly. Maurizio greeted us himself and gave us all the information we needed to enjoy our time there. The refrigerator was stocked with everything we needed for breakfast and then some, along with several bottles of water. Everything was perfect. That bedroom view is incredible, you can see the Valley of the Temples and the beach right from there. They also left plenty of bottled water, bread rolls, and fruit for us to help ourselves to, which was so generous. The apartment had everything, from kitchenware and appliances to a washing machine, and loads of dishes. It felt like home, and in person it’s even better than the photos. The location is fantastic too, less than five minutes from the train station and bus stop, with an elevator, which matters a lot. The main street is under a minute away, full of restaurants, including the famous Sal8 downstairs. The host doesn’t speak much English, but Google Translate made it easy to communicate. Maybe because nobody had stayed the night before, they kindly let me check in early the next morning. My one complaint is the bar downstairs from the bedroom. I stayed Friday and Saturday, and the music and general noise were really loud at night. If you’re a light sleeper like me, bring earplugs and close all the doors and windows to reduce it.
