The wellness area was a highlight, with a Finnish sauna, steam bath, ice well, hot and cold massage pools, and a large pool with jets overlooking the promenade. Breakfast on the second floor was delicious, with a view of the sun coming up over the horizon. Hotel Marino Wellness in Alì Terme made a great base for my main goal, skiing on Mt. Etna. I could have a winter morning on the snow-covered volcano, then unwind by the sea in the mild coastal weather that afternoon. From my sea-view room, I watched the sunrise over the water with coffee and a book on the terrace, listening to the waves. I also enjoyed walks on the beach before breakfast, swimming in the sea, and the rooftop pool. The palms between the hotel and beach gave it a Caribbean-like feel. Many thanks to the staff for being hospitable and helpful. A great choice if you want an active holiday with time to relax.

The spa felt like a little trove of things to explore, and my massage was so good I fell asleep. The staff were truly kind and went out of their way every day to make our stay feel perfect. Everything was modern, carefully looked after, and spotless. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and tailored to what we liked. I honestly can’t think of anything negative. We adored this hotel.

We’d love to come back and try the massage or spa, which we didn’t have time for this visit. There are plenty of nearby restaurants and nice options for day trips. The views were beautiful and calming, and there’s even an infinity pool. We’ve never had a better hotel experience. We loved how new, clean, and modern the place felt. Our room and its cleanliness were perfect, the staff were professional yet very friendly and approachable, and breakfast was delicious.

It’s a bit out of the way, and getting to or from the highway is complicated. The drive takes 10 to 15 minutes through local roads and towns. It’s a small, brand-new hotel, though the rooms and bathrooms are a little small. The place is clean and good overall. Breakfast was pretty good, and dinner at the restaurant was excellent. The rooftop pool was okay, but small, and there was no drinks service.
