Hotel Orsa Maggiore

The pool and its incredible view were a highlight, and the hotel restaurant’s lunch was amazing. I think the hotel has been refurbished recently, because the rooms and amenities look much nicer than the photos suggest. Everyone on staff was lovely and helpful, and the free hotel shuttle made getting around the island easy. We’ll definitely return. It was a wonderful stay and a lovely memory.

A lovely stay in a quieter part of the island. The rooms were lovely, and everyone was welcoming. We had free transfers to and from the port and into AnaCapri. Lunch was good, and Marco at the bar always took care of us. Definitely recommend it.

We spent four nights at Orsa Maggiore and are already looking forward to coming back. Next time, we’ll stay at least a week. The place is tucked away from the noise and bustle of Capri town, but only a short distance from Anacapri’s Old town center. Its grounds, facilities, views, and quiet, comfortable rooms made it a restful retreat, and the team was warm and thoughtful. Luigi was always ready to drive us wherever we needed to go on the island. Franco and Daniele looked after us at breakfast and at the restaurant by the pool during the day, while Gianpaolo welcomed us at reception each night. Luisa and Sylvia helped arrange boat trips and restaurant bookings, answered our sightseeing questions, and were always available when we needed them.

We were on Capri for a small wedding held elsewhere, and the staff took the itinerary I shared and made sure our transfers for the following days were booked. They made the hotel feel like home, and I can’t say enough about how nice, fun, and helpful everyone was. The walk into Anacapri is short and beautiful. There’s also a bus stop very close by, or the hotel can arrange a transfer. Everything about our stay was fantastic, and we’d happily stay at Orsa Maggiore again. I’d recommend it to anyone.
