The setting was lovely, and the attention to detail was excellent, which makes the rest a shame. The owner was friendly, but the price was out of line with what was offered. We found out on arrival that he was staying next door to our two rooms. One evening he had friends over, and we couldn’t sleep because of the noise. Breakfast wasn’t satisfactory either.
We felt completely at home during our week with Mrs. Carmela. She was thoughtful, kind, and always willing to help. She let us use the newly renovated basement apartment, with its own entrance downstairs, so we had plenty of space and privacy. It had a private bathroom, a full kitchen, sofas, and a brand new Murphy bed. There was also a lovely garden with a table and chairs, and Mrs. Carmela shared some of her delicious apricots with us.
Fresh apricots straight off the tree were delicious! Staying with Mrs. Carmela felt like a real vacation, thanks to her kindness, empathy, and warm hospitality. She even tried to accommodate the little things we asked for, and never said no.
We were there overnight for work, but the lady made us feel right at home. She’s a wonderful hostess.
Mrs. Carmela was always so kind and available, and her homemade cakes at breakfast were delicious. The room was gorgeous, parking was plentiful and free, and the location was convenient. Highly recommended.
