Locanda degli Ulivi

Breakfast had something for everyone, from vegan to meaty options, Müsli, bread, fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables, and homemade muffins in both sweet and savory versions. The beds were comfy, and the bathrooms were modern and spotless. We had a wonderful, peaceful night among the olive trees at the Locanda and were warmly welcomed. It’s a great base for exploring Vicenza and nearby sights.

The food was good, and the rooms were great with comfortable beds. Vicenza is close by, just a 15-minute drive to downtown.

We stayed with our trusty dogs and loved it. The rooms are peaceful and a good size, and we couldn’t fault the place for what we expected and experienced. We had dinner there, which was delicious, and would gladly eat there again. Sunday breakfast had a great selection, though I wish we’d had room to eat more. Highly recommend. We want to go back.

Marisa knows a lot about the local food and wines served at her restaurant, and she’s a wonderful hostess. Since a large family group had the main dining room, we were seated in the breakfast room, at a table by the window overlooking the olive groves. We started with glasses of nice extra dry prosecco, then shared a bottle of red Maculana wine with dinner. The buttered tagliatella was called the “best pasta” two people in our group had ever eaten. We also had tasty parma ham and venison. The food was great, service was efficient without hovering, and the price was reasonable. We’ll be back.
