The location is a real plus, in a peaceful residential area with a lovely view of the town and mountains. Parking is behind an electric gate, though getting into the apartment means using a fairly narrow staircase. The sleeping area was okay, but the bathroom and shower cubicle were dirty, and hygiene generally left a lot to be desired. The living room felt very bare, with no coffee table and too little seating for six. The TV wasn't connected, and it only had Italian channels, with no satellite TV. The listing said the refrigerator wasn't working, and it needed the landlord to turn it on. It was okay for a few days.

The lake view is spectacular, and the villa is well placed for getting to Arona. Beautiful place, highly recommended!

Going up costs 15 euros, which feels like a lot.
