We picked this place while going to a wedding nearby, and it was handy for seeing Assisi, especially if you're on a budget. Free parking is about a 10 minute walk away. Our room felt cramped, was quite small, and didn't have much lighting. Breakfast was very basic. They also don't have irons because of health and safety, though that explanation felt unclear. Fine for a short visit if you don't expect too much.

Room #14 was tiny and had no windows, more like a storage closet than somewhere to stay. It wasn't actually part of the hotel, but sat by the backdoor, which kept slamming, and beside the alley to the main castle. Tourists passed within half a meter of the bed all day. It was incredibly noisy and impossible to relax or sleep. Parking was complicated too. With a concert at the castle, the disruption was overwhelming. We were offered a dodgy alternative room at another hotel, so checking out was our only option. Management promised a refund, then decided otherwise and never even replied to us, rudely. A completely distressing, unpleasant experience. Don't waste your time or money here.

Restaurants and ice cream parlours are just a few minutes away, and Il Duomo, the cathedral, is right outside the hotel. Breakfast was plentiful. Our room was an unusual one, huge, with three double beds, but still didn't feel crowded. The bathroom was good, though the forest shower took a while to warm up, and the linens were excellent. A wonderful hotel in a wonderful location.

The hotel is in a quiet, central part of Assisi, and the staff are welcoming and helpful. There isn't much storage space in the room, and breakfast was just okay. Excellent overall.

The rooms were smaller than I expected, and I was hoping for a more generous breakfast. Still, it's an excellent hotel in general.
