The garage worked perfectly and gives direct access to the hotel, though getting a large car in could be tricky. Pricing is more than fair, and I’d stay again if I’m back in Asti. The staff were friendly, the place was clean and central, and breakfast was fine. The room was simple but spacious and had everything needed. WiFi could be better. The air conditioning was loud, so I turned it off overnight, which might not be comfortable on a hot summer night.
The staff were especially friendly and went out of their way to help us after we had the bad luck of booking a hotel that didn’t exist through Chase. Being near the train station was convenient, and the location let us explore all of downtown on foot without paying for transport. My room had an exquisite view, and breakfast was included, which was a nice extra. It may not quite meet a four-star standard, but we had a truly wonderful evening here.
I spent a month here while working nearby. The location is great and breakfasts are very good, and overall I’d recommend it. The rooms were clean but tiny, with a TV smaller than a laptop screen. The walls are thin, so you can hear everything the neighbors are doing. The ladies on staff were especially nice. The male staff member could turn off the dining-room air conditioning so guests working at their computers would leave sooner. The rooms are too small for more than two people to work in. My friend had ants in his second-floor room, and when the hotel is busy, the air conditioning doesn’t cool properly.
Check-in was quick, and the receptionist was polite. The WiFi worked well, and the bed was comfortable. I liked the scented oils in the room, too. It’s an odd mix of old-fashioned, maybe retro, and modern decor. Some furniture is worn and the carpet was stained. The power sockets aren’t Euro compatible. Breakfast had no vegetables, and the service staff seemed too focused on themselves to notice the guests. I expected much better from a 4 star hotel.
The city center is a plus, and the bed was comfortable. Parking is listed on booking.com, but it means street parking that you pay for by the hour. The hotel feels old, like the ‘90-2000 style, and sure isn’t 4* to me, maybe 3*. Some staff members seemed to find it hard to smile at 9 o’clock in the morning. 95€
