Hotel de Champoluc

It was our second ski trip here with Inghams. Max and the team were welcoming and glad to help with anything. The hotel’s two big draws are its position beside the Crest gondola and the excellent food. They handle all kinds of dietary needs really well. The decor is a little tired, but that’s a minor thing. This time the boot room was much better, thanks to the new boot warmers. We’ve met guests who have returned many times, which says a lot.

Dinner was a highlight, with wine included in the package, plus salad, pasta, meat, dessert and cheese each evening. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, hot and cold, and it was all delicious. We stayed half board with Inghams and found the food, staff, facilities and value hard to fault. The wellness spa is new, modern, fresh and clean. It’s limited to groups of seven per hour, so it never felt crowded. There’s also a play area, games room and pool table. The lounge and bar are set up for chatting, and people shared ski stories over snacks at 4.30pm. The rooms are a little tired, but comfortable, warm and clean after skiing. Max, his family and the whole team were incredibly helpful. The hotel is right by the last run into Champoluc, as close to the ski gondola as you can get. I’d recommend it without hesitation.

Tea and coffee were available throughout the day in the lounge, which was a nice touch. Inghams also arranged a ski day away to Cervinia. Everything ran smoothly and was well organized. We had a fantastic week at Hotel Champoluc, booked through Inghams. The staff were welcoming, the food was delicious, and the ski-in, ski-out location was hard to beat. Our nearly refurbished room was better than expected, with a balcony looking out over the slopes and town. Highly recommend for a ski holiday.

The newly refurbished room was lovely, and Max and the team were excellent. They were thoughtful about our kids’ food intolerance. The new wellness room was great after a day of skiing, and you can also get a massage from a young woman who’s training to be a physio. I’d highly recommend the hotel, and hopefully we’ll come back.
