Breakfast was the one tolerable thing: you could make a sandwich, and there were croissants, juice, and coffee. Everything else was awful. The hotel is basically in a basement, the walls are dirty and unpainted, and the rooms are freezing. At night I needed about three blankets just to sleep. The Wi-Fi barely reaches the room at all. The shower is right above you, so you have to wash your hair if you want to shower, which is a huge problem in winter. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The hotel has vintage, old-world charm, tall ceilings, and spacious rooms with room for three to sleep comfortably. It was also budget-friendly, usually $15-30 less than nearby options. The staff member who seemed to guard the dining area was a strange part of our stay. For two mornings, a white-haired man repeatedly shouted in Italian at our group of 21. My translator app said he was telling anyone who hadn’t bought breakfast to leave. He made it clear we weren’t welcome to eat our own breakfast there, even though there was no paying costumer around. I have his photo if you want to see it. The nearby station is poorly lit and can feel unsettling at night, and the area didn’t seem especially secure after dark. I’d try to get back before sunset. For a large group trying to save money and willing to put up with some quirks and tension, it might work. Families or anyone wanting a warm, secure stay might want to look elsewhere.

Our room was spacious, and I liked the toilet too, hahahah. Everything else was great, but the air conditioning wasn’t working properly. It was cold, and we got sick.

There was no hot water, the toilet didn’t work, and the Wi-Fi connection was terrible. My room wasn’t cleaned every day even though it should have been. Breakfast was horrible, with very few options. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
