B&B Da Castello

There’s plenty of space outside, with horses and farm animals kept in their enclosures, plus indoor parking. The owners are kind, discreet, and always ready to help. We stayed in a roomy two-floor apartment with stylish furnishings and all the comforts, including a fireplace in the living area. A great farmhouse out in the Veneto countryside.

We went for a riding lesson for my 5-year-old daughter. The staff were friendly and knew what they were doing, and made us feel welcome right away. We haven't tried the B&B, though I imagine it would be just as nice. I really recommend the riding lessons!

The apartment itself was very nice, but the stay turned into a shocking experience. When we arrived, three dogs were loose in the garden, including two enormous Maremma Sheepdogs. They came at us playfully, while their owner struggled to hold them back. We took our bags up to the room on the second floor, and on the way back down a stair step splintered between two tiles. We nearly had a nasty fall and told the owner immediately. While we were out, the owner came into the apartment to inspect what had happened and see what we had or hadn't brought into the house. At the end of the stay, the owner swore at and insulted us, demanded full compensation for the ladder, and accused us of throwing who knows what on it. I wouldn't repeat this experience.

The rooms are roomy and comfortable, and the bathroom is really nice. It was quiet and very clean, with welcoming hosts at this charming place. The owner speaks English.
