Casa Quinzio b&b

I booked this apartment a month before the green pass took effect, then called to confirm. I explained that my 12-year-old son didn’t have a green pass. The man on the phone said we couldn’t sleep anywhere in Sicily without one, told me to cancel through booking.com, and said never to call him again. He was extremely rude and discriminatory. In my view, someone who behaves like that doesn’t deserve to run a business and should be boycotted. This isn’t even a hotel, and what he did was completely against the law.

Quinzio was very kind and helpful, and made us feel at home during our nine-night stay as a couple in August. Our room was very clean, and the location was handy for the town center, grocery shops, and essentials. You can reach the beach on foot in about 15 minutes or go by car. The town is quaint and conveniently close to the highway. We recommend staying here and plan to come back.

The breakfast was plentiful and good, though I’d have liked more Sicilian pastries and a few savory choices. We stayed for 15 days and felt at home, with the staff looking after the room cleaning and breakfast and meeting every request we made. The B&B is very well run, and the comfortable rooms have what you need, even for a longer stay.

Breakfast was lovely, especially the excellent coffee and the cakes Quinzio, the owner, makes. I tried the apple cake and it was delicious. There’s a big, beautiful common room for breakfast, plus a large library for anyone who likes to read. The whole place has a relaxed, family feel, and chatting with Quinzio was a pleasure. He gave great advice and was so helpful. I felt more like a guest in his home than at a B&B. The welcome is pure Sicilian hospitality. The new property has bright, spacious, elegant rooms, finished with care and supplied with everything I needed: Wi-Fi, TV, towels, a hairdryer, a fantastic bathroom, a really comfortable shower, and a roomy, well-stocked closet. I didn’t miss a thing. Highly recommend!
