Breakfast was out of this world, and the staff spoke English and really wanted to make our stay comfortable. Google calls it a 3-star hotel, but it was amazing in every way. The best hotel we stayed at on our trip, without a doubt.

What stayed with me most was how kind and accommodating the owner was, always trying to make guests feel at home and meet their needs. The property is surrounded by greenery, with a real sense of peace, so it suits anyone wanting a break from city life. It’s an old building with a very rustic feel. There’s no Wi-Fi or TV in the rooms, but that’s okay. We finally got to sit and talk as a family again.

It’s quiet here, but there were several letdowns. I knew the dirt road wouldn’t be an issue, but when we arrived, the first thing I saw was a bowl full of cigarette butts that had been sitting there for three days. Not a great first impression. The room was clean but dated, and I had to hold the broken showerhead in my hand every time I washed. There was no TV, and the Wi-Fi signal was very weak. Breakfast was sparse: two slices of melon, little bruschetta, a slice of cake, packaged juice, milk, and moka pot coffee. The pool is large, but the tiles were damaged and it wasn’t well maintained. I’d only suggest this place to someone who wants to be isolated and has low expectations. Once was enough for me.
