We came just for a meal, not as hotel guests. It was very busy, so we had to wait for a table, and there wasn’t space outside. If you want to sit with a lake view, I’d reserve ahead. We ended up by the front door with people coming and going. The staff were fine, though not especially friendly. The food disappointed us too. My husband’s veal was very fatty, and my tagliatelle alla salmone tasted strongly of fish, not salmon, almost like leftover fish scraps had been added. It was also too salty.

The lake views from this location are great, and the food was good with excellent service. I didn’t stay at the hotel, so I can’t comment on that.

I grew up eating gourmet food because my mum is a chef, but the tagliolini with crab meat here was still the best thing I’ve ever had. I’ve never been this happy with a restaurant. Get the peperoncino oil and chilli flakes too, you’ll be crying happy tears.
