Gatto Bianco Casa dei Venti

After a long day of sightseeing, the waterfall shower was just what we needed. The room was clean and airy, and I loved the interiors. The design felt like it had been put together with a lot of care. We had to book at the last minute and check in late, but the staff were extremely helpful. We left early, and one lovely staff member packed us a takeaway breakfast for the train. Thanks for a lovely night at Casa Dei Venti. If we come back to Bari, we’ll definitely book here again.

The hosts were nice, the Internet worked great, and we really enjoyed the book about Bari in the room. It was a nice touch, and Bari ended up being our favorite city in Italy. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the hotel is in a good location with a fun look, but the stay wasn’t very comfortable. We only needed one Queen bed, but got three twins, two pushed together. They kept sliding apart at night. A neighbor played music so loudly every night that it felt almost like they were in our room. The room was spacious, while the bathroom was tiny, and its loud door was hard to open and close. Breakfast was mediocre.

The room was lovely, especially the extremely comfortable bed. It had a fridge, air conditioning, a TV, a coffee machine, and an electric kettle, with a good choice of coffee and tea, plus sugar and honey. The bathroom had the things you might need, including Q-Tips, cotton swabs, and a nail file. The price felt fair, and the staff really add to the experience. Breakfast is included and has plenty to choose from: seeds and grains, yogurt, bread, pastries, cheeses, ham, cereal, and more. The woman who runs the place was attentive and friendly, answered questions readily, and offered beach suggestions. She’d also make eggs and coffee, which we enjoyed in the lovely breakfast room. It’s well connected and central, though outside the historical centre. If you want a nice place that’s still central without being in the old centre, it’s a very good choice.

I found this hotel while searching late, and it turned out to be a great surprise. The place was small and quiet, and we had a really pleasant stay. Our room was clean and spacious, and breakfast was great. Both receptionists I met were friendly and attentive. I arrived before the scheduled check-in, but they still let me in early so I could leave my things. Many thanks to all the staff!
