Room 56

The separate sleeping areas worked really well for our small family, and the beds were comfortable. There was a generous bathroom and a real boutique feel. We also enjoyed the light breakfast and the unbeatable proximity to Central Bari. The team were so helpful. Even though we arrived very late, they welcomed us and showed us around without any hassle. A really brilliant stay at Room 56. Thank you!

We were left to find last minute accommodation at a much higher price, with no alternative offered. Our booking had been fully paid, and they cancelled just two days before we were due to arrive. That was really disappointing, especially when travelling overseas after booking months in advance. It was not good enough.

Federica was a great host. She met me outside, got me checked in promptly, and was very friendly. She even helped arrange a taxi to the airport when I checked out. The room was bright, modern and high up, with a lively street view. I loved sitting on my private balcony with white wine and music in the late afternoon. The walls are thin, though, so it wouldn’t suit friends wanting to make noise. The other guests were respectful, and people generally didn’t come in late making noise or blasting music. Room 56 is a quiet retreat, with a shared area and kitchen. The building is quite old, and the lift seems ancient, but the residence itself is welcoming and clearly has had a lot of care put into it. The kitchen has free cold water, plus bottles of crisp wine for 10 euros each. You can help yourself and pay the kitchen host for the wine at breakfast the next day. Breakfast is very simple, mostly cold meats, bread and yogurt, with coffee or tea. Thanks for a pleasant stay and a nice end to my Euro trip!

The mini apartment was spotless and had everything needed for a pleasant holiday. Breakfast was plentiful, and the coffee was excellent. The staff were very accommodating, and the central location made this a highly recommendable B&B. I hope I can come back one day.
