Locanda 2 Camini

A pleasant surprise for someone like me who travels a lot. Franca, the owner, is a professional food and wine taster of the Altopiano di Piné and also covers regional specialties. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, and the homemade jams without sugar or preservatives were especially worth mentioning. It’s a shame the restaurant is temporarily closed, so I couldn’t try the food, which must be excellent. One suggestion: be on time for your arrival. I’ll definitely come back.

The quality and warm service made this dinner well worth recommending. We were served authentic food, starting with a kitchen treat of chickpea, lentil, and ginger soup. The giardiniera with speck was outstanding, and both the polenta with veal stew and the beef stew were delicious. We finished with excellent vanilla parfait and raspberry sauce.

We ate dinner here as well, and it was a wonderful choice. There are meat, fish, and vegan options, with plenty of local dishes. The portions are generous, everything was tasty and nicely presented, and the wine list has a very good selection. Franca’s welcome is genuine and friendly, and Locanda 2 Camini has the kind of atmosphere where you feel at home. The traditional sweet and savory breakfast comes with juice, fresh fruit, and hot drinks. Our room was one of the spacious attic rooms, simply furnished but functional, very clean, and in keeping with the common areas. Staying at an inn brings back that old feeling of being a traveler who can rest, eat well, and feel at home. Even for one night, this place does that. We’ll be back!

After a sumptuous lunch, all I wanted was a much-needed nap. We had a family meal and enjoyed every course. The warm welcome put us at ease right away, and each dish was cooked gently to bring out its own flavors. We had everything we needed. Thank you.
