Camping Orchidea

The pool was clean, supervised, and excellent, and the showers and toilets were very clean too. The campsite has great facilities, with friendly, helpful staff. The one major downside was the woman in the restaurant, who seemed to have no understanding of hospitality.

I got my dates wrong when I booked a pitch near the lakeside front, but the staff still found me a spot close to the front. The location is perfect, the toilets are great and very clean, and the staff are excellent and always ready to help. I’d definitely come back. The pitches are a good size, the facilities are spotlessly clean, and there are lovely loungers looking out over the lake. The takeaway pizzas are nice, and you can walk to restaurants from this lovely site on the edge of Lake Maggiore. The swimming pool was the biggest disappointment: it was cold, you had to wear a hat, and it didn’t feel like a fun place to swim or sit. Thanks for another enjoyable stay.

The campsite is right on the lake and has a good restaurant and friendly staff. Our pitch had plenty of shade, though many others have hardly any. The toilet buildings were clean, and it was busier than we expected for mid-September. I’d have given it five stars if the restaurant’s rubbish collection hadn’t brought several noisy cars between 6 and 7 in the morning.
