We were two couples, and the stay was okay. The bathroom was very small, though the hotel is near the sea and the staff are very kind.

We really enjoyed our week at Village Hotel, and I appreciate that it gives people who are struggling to make ends meet a chance to take a holiday. The staff were courteous, kind, and efficient throughout. The room had a comfortable bed, a spacious closet, and, above all, it was very clean. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were good quality. The cooked ham at breakfast wasn't Rovagnati or Ferrarini, just the same kind I see in bars when I order toast or in other hotels. For lunch, they packed us a little fabric bag with 4 toasts, 2 waters, 2 fruit, and 2 biscuits. Some shops charge 20-50 cents for a paper bag, so I didn't take that for granted. The bathroom did need work. Showering was very difficult because it was small and had no curtain, so there was a risk of flooding the room. Management had mentioned this inconvenience in the check-in notes. We managed for the week by washing at the sink and bidet, without complaint or problem. We also bought some cured meat to go with the cooked ham, an expense that fit into our weekly budget. When I see reviews with photos of open toast calling it shabby, I think those reviewers don't consider how much they're spending. As for people writing negative reviews of this hotel or others in the group, I think that's malicious and shows ignorance. Thank you, Village Hotel. Martucci Anna and Pedotti Marco.

The value for money is really good, and the food is good, thankfully without huge portions. The hotel could use some work, especially the bathroom. Andrea and Francesco were very good at the service, and Maura was always smiling and helpful. The location is excellent, just steps from the beach. I wouldn't rule out coming back.

The food was awful and there wasn't much of it. Breakfast was rusks, biscuits, or sandwich bread with jam, no Nutella, plus empty, mummified croissants. The disposable plastic cups were dirty and dripping, and I saw them add old water to the bottle with my own eyes. It clearly wasn't from our table. At dinner, there was only one round of second courses and little bread, and they charged 2.50 euros for salad. The staff were rude, especially the waiters, and the hotel was dirty and poorly equipped. I don't recommend it. This was my third year here, and my last. When I arrived with my 6 year old child, the air conditioning wasn't working. I told the manager, who said hers was like that too, and that assistance needed to come out, but nobody knew when. If you're paying for a service, getting it seems like the bare minimum. They also changed the manager, and the new one was very incompetent. The manager from previous years was better at everything. I won't stay here again in the coming years.

The location was nice, with a bar, shops, a tobacconist, and other places nearby. A few staff members were somewhat helpful, including MOR the waiter, the cleaning ladies, the manager, and another member of staff. The rest were rude and impatient. The elevator doors closed so fast you had to be careful getting in or you could lose a limb. We'd vacationed at Village Hotels for three years and stayed at several of their hotels. We chose to return to the Sydney this year because we'd had a good experience there a few years ago, but it turned out badly, especially when it came to the food. The place is old and badly needs renovation. Breakfast meant only sandwich bread with jam and butter or toast. No Nutella, cakes, or anything else. Lunch and dinner offered two first course choices and two second course choices, with no buffet and only pork for meat. Salad cost €2.50 each, and even pasta with garlic, oil, and chili pepper cost an extra €8 😡. Portions were tiny, and the quality was second-rate. They made the food specifically for us, the numbered Christians. Getting bread felt like begging. When fruit was served, each person at the table got one piece, no more or less. If you asked for more, they said they couldn't because the count was correct, in an annoying tone. We paid 1200 for this holiday but spent much more elsewhere because we were hungry. It wasn't worth a cent. I recommend the hotel if you want to lose weight and eat badly. Otherwise, spend a little more and you'll definitely be better off. For us, it's the last time. P.S. The service deserves 0 stars.
