6/10
The central location deserves 5 stars, and parking was available for €10 a day. The rooms were generally okay and spacious, and the check-in staff were very helpful. Still, I’m giving it 3 stars because check-in itself was difficult, the rooms hadn’t been cleaned properly, and there were still bread crumbs on the kitchen floor when we arrived. I’d booked air conditioning, but none of the rooms had it.

The room was clean and close to the city center, but I wouldn’t recommend CityHub Guesthouse. At the last minute, they changed our booking from two rooms to one. They offered a discounted price, but it didn’t make up for losing half the space. We met another guest from a different guesthouse who’d had the same thing happen that day, so it seemed like they might be maximizing profit by moving people into smaller accommodation at the last minute. I also had trouble confirming the reservation by credit card, and getting the key was difficult.

The self-service breakfast was quite basic, but the owners were friendly and there’s a terrace behind the hotel. It’s a small place with just three rooms, nicely designed and well insulated, so we didn’t hear traffic from the main road in Bergamo Città Basa. The location is very good.

In the city center, the accommodation is simple, pleasant, and clean. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Bergamo.
