The hotel is tucked away in a quiet spot, surrounded by gorgeous views of the colorful Italian houses on the hillside. Our room looked recently renovated, with matching white furniture that all seemed new. The bed had some spring to it and the pillows were soft, which suited me better than the firmer beds that seem typical here. The breakfast was such a pleasant surprise, with a good choice of tasty things, even compared with other places I've stayed in Italy. They offered eggs and bacon, and the bacon was crispy the American way, which isn't usual in Europe. The scrambled eggs with lovely olive oil were made fresh. The hairdryer was powerful and hot, great if you've got thick hair.

The building and setting are beautiful, with spacious, newly refurbished rooms and incredible views. Our room was made up every day and kept very clean. The AC didn't seem to work properly. Breakfast was small but good, and reception and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Getting there is a challenge, with a long, difficult drive that calls for an experienced driver. We enjoyed our stay on our Italy road trip and would recommend it. Thank you, Hotel Palazzo!

Dinner here was a real treat, a delicious Italian feast, and Mrs Chef was so lovely. The staff at both reception and the restaurant were very friendly. The palace has been renovated and preserved beautifully, with a neat finish, and the rooms are tidy and lovely. The valley views are stunning. Grazie mille per tutto!!

For this price, I really can't imagine finding anything better. Breakfast was very nice for the cost, and the restaurant, with its stone walls, has comforting food and a cozy feel. The 18th-century palace has been renovated recently and very nicely, with an amazing view. Incredible value, and I'd highly recommend this hotel if you're nearby.
