We left in the middle of the night because we were itching all over and couldn’t sleep. The room was filthy, with bed bugs and pubic hair on the bathroom floor. It was a scary place and the worst hotel experience I’ve had, even though I travel very often. I’m extremely disappointed by the rating I found for this hotel. It shouldn’t be above 1. Please do your research and don’t ruin your stay in Rome. The bad reviews are right, and the good ones don’t describe this place at all.

We had to find somewhere else to stay after the owner cancelled our online booking two days before we were due to arrive. From the other reviews, it seems this happened to others too. Maybe he cancels at the last minute after finding someone willing to pay more, but that’s only my guess. He couldn’t be reached by phone and communicated only by SMS. This place is clearly a scam. Stay away!

I haven’t stayed here, but I certainly would. If you don’t want to pay for an expensive hotel, these hostel owners provide somewhere to sleep and wash. On vacation, you’re hopefully out day and night seeing the sights and local culture, so you only need a bed for around six hours before heading off again. If you stay in the room all day and expect a maid to serve you, it’d be cheaper to stay home and pretend you’re on vacation. Geez, people, get a life and be courteous. Try to imagine what owners deal with every day from travelers who check windows for measurements.

We got there on the day we were booked, but nobody was there to meet us. No one answered the phone numbers, so we had to find a nearby hotel. It’s a small B&B.

The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and breakfast was only some bread and coffee. It wasn’t a great experience, and I’d rather stay in a proper hotel.
