There are only a few rooms around a little courtyard, so the place feels peaceful and personal. Sitting out there with local Caricante and looking at Etna is hard to beat. The food is wonderful, and the wine list is full of reasonably priced local options. Alessandro is a kind, funny, welcoming hostess who makes great Spritz’s in several varieties and cooks fresh local food with real finesse. In July the rooms can be a bit warm, but being halfway up Etna means the evenings cool off, so it wasn’t uncomfortable or sweaty. A tranquil little oasis with lovely service.

We extended our stay because we slept so well and found it so peaceful. In the middle of nature, with a view of Etna, it felt like home. The rooms were clean and hygiene was good. We ate fresh homemade food throughout the day, including delicious salads, fresh focaccia and beef, and dinner was the best Italian food you could get. If you want quiet, a beautiful setting and services offered with happiness and love, this is the place. Thank you for a lovely stay ❤️

The pool seemed to be out of service, which was disappointing since we’d been looking forward to it. Still, I’d recommend the property. The staff were very friendly and helpful with local attraction suggestions, though the road access is average even by siciliano standards.

I came in September to get away from the daily noise and Sicilian heat, and found a great place to reconnect with myself. The owners and staff gave us a fantastic welcome. The restaurant menu is simple but outstanding, and they’re happy to make something if it’s missing. After dinner and two bottles of wine one night, I fancied Sicilian sausage with tomato salad.
