The shop was superb and even had a deli. There were lots of trees and lovely shrubs along the paths, and the whole place was very clean. It’s quiet at night and very child-friendly, with a mostly Italian crowd that still made it feel like Italy. The beach is a 15-minute walk away, while the large pool has different depths and a slide that our 8-year-old loved. It’s a fantastic budget option with kids. The three of us had a three-bed cabin, which gave us room for our suitcases in the third bedroom. I think that extra room made a big difference; with two kids I’d have chosen a four-bed. We went in August and picked one with air conditioning and a shaded outdoor area. Check what’s already in the cabin before shopping, as they’re very well equipped. It’s not a posh place, but it worked well for us.

We went out of season, at the beginning of October, with two dogs, and found the site very well organized and excellent for people with dogs. The staff were more than friendly and willing to help, and they speak English. The beach is a marvelous 10-minute walk away, and parking was very convenient. Food at the campsite restaurant was high quality. We rented a lux mobile home, which had a fully equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher. The bed linen and towels were still unpacked, and cleanliness was top level. We stayed one extra night in an economy mobile home-cabin because the lux one was already booked. That one was perfectly clean and had a fully equipped kitchen too. Just keep in mind the economy homes are older than the lux ones, with different interiors, so they may not meet everyone’s expectations.

We arrived late on the first day after an 11h drive with the kids. Reception said we had to leave all five original passports overnight or we couldn’t stay, even though we’d already paid in full. They wouldn’t accept copies or photos. We felt forced to hand all our documents over to people we didn’t know, which made for a very uncomfortable and almost violating welcome. The pool was dirty, and the music was extremely loud. The kids couldn’t sleep until midnight or even 1 a.m., and it was loud again early in the morning when the neighbors got up. We basically couldn’t sleep the whole vacation. There were jellyfish at the beach and all the kids were stung. There were constant extra charges, two euros here and there. You have to buy a swimming cap to enter the pool, €2 each, or €10 for our family of five. A bracelet is also required for pool access, €2.50 each, or €12.50 for five people, on top of the stay. We were extremely tired after the holiday, found it totally overpriced, and have no wish to repeat the experience.

The tent was cute and had air conditioning on the ground floor. Upstairs was hot, but cooled enough for us to sleep at night. There’s a restaurant, evening entertainment, a nice pool, and a small convenience store. There wasn’t enough seating around the pool, though. I was a little irritated by parking: they give you a pass and say there’s parking, but you can’t park at your camp and the lot was always full.

We came from the neighboring campsite to swim. The pool is a reasonable size and you can actually swim in it, and there’s entertainment including aquarobics. It could use some maintenance, and it’s missing things like a fence. I wasn’t sure about the water quality because it was hard to see objects on the bottom at 1.60m. Swim caps are mandatory.
