The room was extremely clean, and the hotel had an intimate small-hotel feel. Staff were fantastic across the board, especially the young woman at reception, who was friendly, full of recommendations, and happy to help with every request. The bartender and the woman in charge of breakfast were great too. The street by the entrance wasn't ideal, with people hanging around most hours, but that's true of large parts of the city. People in Bologna were very friendly, and I never felt unsafe, even walking empty streets after sunset. The minibar items and limited breakfast choices are pricey, but I'd still give the stay five stars and come back.

I left the hotel the next morning without having slept at all. The first room smelled terribly from the wardrobe, so I couldn't stay in it. After I complained, they moved me to a room right below the hotel's laundry area, where industrial machines started running at 3:30 AM and kept me awake. The window faced a street where groups of drug addicts gathered late into the night, shouting and disturbing things until 2 AM. I paid the hotel directly by card just so I could leave as soon as possible. Afterwards, the manager cancelled my Booking.com reservation, most likely to avoid giving a refund and paying the platform commission. I've been trying to sort this out since February, but Booking.com says it can't intervene because the hotel took the payment directly. The conditions were completely unacceptable, and the hotel gave no sense of safety or even basic accommodation standards. Management acted in bad faith, and customer service was nonexistent. This hotel shouldn't be listed on any serious travel platform. Stay away.

Breakfast was delicious, with lots of fresh baked treats. The location is amazing and close to everything. The room was small, but clean, beautiful, and just right. Such amazing guest service too.

The room was cozy and had everything I needed, and the staff were welcoming and always smiling. Breakfast was lovely, made at home with care each morning. The neighborhood was a little noisy, mostly because I was on the ground floor during university graduation week. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend the hotel and its value.
