Casa Isolani Piazza Maggiore 1.0

We had a magical stay and felt like royalty, as if we were being hosted by a princess or the Isolani family themselves! From our room we could see the Clock Tower and Piazza Maggiore. The soundproofing was flawless, so inside it was as peaceful as a quiet side street. Unforgettable, just like Bologna. Thank you!

We spent three nights here while visiting the area. I picked it for the location and reasonable price, and I wasn’t disappointed. The private apartment building is gorgeous and feels like an oasis of peace. The rooms were a good size, immaculately clean and tidy, and the bathroom looked newly refurbished, with lovely french toiletries. The view from the window was spectacular. Guilia met us on the street outside when we arrived, and she replied to my messages very promptly. The one real problem was the air conditioning: it wasn’t working, and it took several messages back and forth and 24 hours to get it going. With the windows open, there can also be a lot of noise from the pedestrian street below and music from the shops. They close at 7.30pm, so it wasn’t too much of an issue. The free wifi was great. There’s a common area with a kettle, but no tap or water to refill it, and no milk for tea or coffee. Even with those issues, it was lovely to step off the busy street into the quiet of this beautiful building. I felt like a local. I’d definitely stay again and can highly recommend Casa Isolani Piazza Maggiore 2.0 for its location and price.

The room was spacious and had everything we needed, and there was free coffee and tea, which was great. It’s right in the center, but we weren’t disturbed by noise. Great hotel and location.

The room was spotless and comfortable, and I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere cleaner. The location is possibly the best you could get, right in central Bologna around the corner from Piazza Maggiore. Lovely staff welcomed us, and the breakfast vouchers got us a brioche, coffee, and juice at a bakery just a minute away. I recommend the crème brioche, it was so good! The air conditioning didn’t seem to work while we were there, though. I’d stay here anytime.
