Camping Roma Flash

We came here to get away from the busy capital, and it was just right. The campsite is peaceful and scenic, overlooking the lake and Bracciano castle. The staff were welcoming, kind, and helpful. When the bus to Bracciano was cancelled, the couple working behind the bar drove us there. I'd come back, 10/10.

Such a lovely oasis, and really handy for Rome and beyond. The lake was clean and warm, and the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. The toilets are old, but they were clean and worked fine. We also loved the restaurant, the food was superb and very reasonably priced.

The restaurant and pizzeria are decent for a campsite, with good value for the price. Coffee was 90 cents, just as it should be in Italy! The pitches right by the lake are fantastic, and it's a great place to swim, relax, and enjoy the surrounding area. The facilities are a little dated, and in peak season big groups staying together at the campsite can cause some disturbance.

We went in August 2014 with our two kids and had a great time overall. The reception lady was really sweet and helpful, and spoke English very well. The site was clean, but there were no trash cans on site, so all rubbish had to go to containers outside the campsite. Tent pitches sit under huge trees with plenty of shade, though there are sunnier plots too. Our mobile home was shaded, but many others weren't. The camp shop had very little, and the Conrad superstore was about 10 minutes away. The Conrad family store was 7 minutes away, but wasn't that great. We only ate at the restaurant once and didn't like it: the pizzas were bad and the mixed grill meat wasn't good. The pool was nice and not overly chlorinated, though the guard was very strict about no jumping or diving. For more fun, you can swim in the lake, which was amazingly clean and used as a water supply for Roma. Roma is an hour's drive away. We parked at Via Angelo Emo 8 for 2 euro for about 10 hours. The entrance is the bus station, then go right past the station.
