La Maison De Monet

I booked this room at the last minute, for that same night, after an accident brought me to the emergency unit of Brindisi hospital. The owner knew what had happened, but kept messaging me throughout the night, asking when I’d arrive, why I wasn’t there yet, and exactly when I’d be there. It felt unprofessional, and while I was in hospital I was in more contact with him than with my family. There didn’t seem to be any reason for it, since the key came from a coded box outside the house. Still, he wouldn’t give me the code until I said, “I am in the taxi and on the way.” Very strange. I got there in the middle of the night, and the taxi driver said it was a bad area of Brindisi. The “balcony” was just outside the house, with a table and chair, and stairs, since the window-door was also the apartment’s only entrance. The actual apartment door was locked, and I didn’t feel safe. In the morning, the owner messaged again, telling me to leave on time for housekeeping. I did, then sat on the chair outside while waiting for my taxi. A man came and told me to go. I said I wasn’t bothering anyone there and would move if housekeeping needed the space, but there was no housekeeping at all. He called the owner, who arrived very quickly, and both men aggressively ordered me off the premises. I was visibly injured, in pain, barely able to walk, and carrying my luggage. I had to wait for my taxi standing in the street. I’m still shocked by the owner’s inhuman behaviour. I don’t recommend staying here for any of these obvious reasons.

The room was clean and roomy, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. It’s decent value and well placed for reaching both Brindisi airport and the town center. I’d definitely recommend it.

Clean, modern, charming, and fairly priced. I especially noticed the manager’s attention to detail, right down to the Sanseveria to help purify the air. Congratulations, and I highly recommend it.
