Heideggerhof

The kids were so happy at the Heideggerhof, especially with the playground, Blacky the pony to ride, chickens wandering among the vines, and the lovely pool. They don’t want to go anywhere else now. We enjoyed it just as much, and after each hike we were already looking forward to being back at the farm. There are great hiking routes nearby, good restaurants, and the farm itself is a wonderful base. The apartments are cozy, and the homemade wine and jams are lovely. Maria and her family are so welcoming, helpful, and full of good tips. We were curious about the fruit harvest, and they even let us join in. It really feels like authentic South Tyrol. Maria was incredibly kind and took care of everything we needed. We were there in September and there were always grapes and apples from the garden. Our apartment had all the equipment we needed, plus a crib and highchair, which we really appreciated. The pool was lovely and right next to the apartment. Our little daughter especially loved the chickens and pony, and the two other families there made it fun for all the kids and parents. The countryside is beautiful, with wonderful hiking and excursions. We’d love to come back.

The farm is a wonderful spot for kids, with room to play, animals to pet, and nature all around. Our apartment was clean, comfortable, and superbly equipped, so it felt like home straight away. Tucked among the vineyards, the Heiderhof in Kaltern has a lovely setting and stunning views. The hosts were warm and always available with helpful excursion tips. It’s a great base for exploring Lake Kaltern and the surrounding region, heading out for hikes, or simply relaxing. We’ll definitely return and can wholeheartedly recommend the Heiderhof, especially for families looking for peace, nature, and genuine South Tyrolean hospitality. Best regards from Cologne
