Antichi Ricordi

The cakes at breakfast were a highlight: apple, pistachio, and marbled yogurt while we were there, all baked in house by Musa. Breakfast was free, consistently excellent, and had a changing spread of meats, local cheeses, eggs, and lots of fruit. Everyone working there was kind, helpful, and discreet, and someone was always around when we had a question. We were told about free 24-hour parking nearby as soon as we checked in. Antichi Ricordi fits right into the thoughtful pace of Caltanissetta. Wandering the old town's winding streets gives you a feel for its many charms, and the hotel is near good grocers and butchers if you want fresh ingredients. It's also close to a main piazza shaped by the many cultures that have contributed to the city's history. Our second-floor room was spacious, and having both a powder room and a bathroom with good water pressure made getting ready together much easier. It was quiet at night, though during the day we could hear an eclectic mix of music from the neighbourhood. The room felt darker than we're used to, but we got used to opening it up on cool mornings and evenings and letting the stone walls keep things naturally cool at night. Everything in the room felt in line with the price. It's a clean, stylish, relaxing place for cost-conscious visitors who want to explore a city with a lot of history and heart. The stairs are a bit of a walk, but Antichi Ricordi is well worth it.

We always felt safe in Caltanissetta, and would gladly stay here again. The hotel was quiet and just a five-minute walk from the central area. The rooms were very comfortable, with friendly, home-like service. Breakfast was the usual Italian style, with fresh Sicilian fruit, homemade cakes, and good coffee. Antichi Ricordi is a charming place.

The reception was great, and the room was fantastic. The walk to the centre takes under 10 minutes.

The room, Bosco, was spotless, nicely decorated, and had an absolutely enormous bath. Beatrice at the desk was accommodating and helpful, and Musa often translated conversations for us. He was polite, professional, and helpful too. I was here for a long weekend and would definitely recommend staying.
