Equiturismo San Lorenzo - Villa KAMARA

There are lots of quiet places around the property to sit and enjoy nature, and the whole stay felt personal and homely. We were welcomed at the entrance, shown to our rooms, and offered coffee and biscuits. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was plentiful and good quality, and the dinner we tried one evening was very tasty. We also had a tour of the farm and grounds. It’s convenient for Cammarata and San Giovanni Gemini, with free parking, and about 40 minutes by car from Agrigento. We enjoyed our short stay and would gladly return. Highly recommended if you’re looking to relax.

Walter shared a lot of his family’s knowledge about the surrounding area and pointed us toward two impressive monuments. We’d love to come back next summer and stay longer. Our two nights at Villa Kamara, Equiturismo San Lorenzo, felt too short, as we had to continue our tour. The property sits amid the dramatic scenery of the Monti Sicani, with fields, orchards, livestock, and a beautiful family running everything smoothly. Our room was elegantly furnished, with care given to even the smallest details. The restful colors suited the surroundings, and the comfortable bed was just right after days of exploring nearby sites. Besides the modern main building with rooms and shared spaces, there are several others. At least two look more than a century old, with stonework and very thick walls. We enjoyed both breakfast, served in a common room with long tables and inviting armchairs, and tasty homemade dinner eaten outdoors.

The setting on a hill ridge, surrounded by nature and farmland near Cammarata, reminded us of the Galilean hillside in Northern Israel. We found this beautiful ecofarm while walking the via francigena pilgrimage route. Walter and his two sons made us feel welcome and cooked a lovely three-course dinner. The house wine was pretty amazing too. We’d definitely like to return. Thanks, guys!

The owners are available and helpful, and the family-run place has a welcoming, home-like feel. Breakfast is simple, and the lady’s cake is delicious. The new property is clean, with comfortable rooms of a good size and pleasant shared spaces furnished with taste. If you like things simple, it’s a good fit, and the price feels fair for what you get.
