OLM Nature Escape - Eco Aparthotel

Our room looked out toward the farm and mountains, and it was spacious and wonderfully peaceful. The grounds and facilities are lovely, with indoor and outdoor pools and a sauna, and the food was spectacular. Service was warm and professional. The massage wasn’t quite what I expected, but otherwise it was a perfect treat. A beautiful escape into nature, highly recommended.

The staff made our four nights at Olm Nature Escape especially memorable. Everyone, from reception and housekeeping to the restaurant and spa teams, was genuinely warm, attentive, and professional. We felt cared for throughout our stay. We left feeling rested and pampered, and are already thinking about coming back. The grounds are beautifully kept, with quiet places to relax and enjoy the stunning natural setting. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with elegant furnishings that still feel connected to nature. Food was excellent at every meal, with fresh ingredients and thoughtful preparation. We enjoyed breakfast with views of the landscape and dinner under the stars. The pool area was clean and inviting, with comfortable places to lounge, and the spa treatments and facilities left us feeling refreshed. The whole property was immaculate, from our room to the pool and spa areas. Olm Nature Escape delivered a lovely mix of comfort, scenery, good food, and heartfelt hospitality. We’re grateful for the stay and would happily recommend it.

The food, pool, rooms, and most of the staff were fantastic, and this is one of the best places I’ve visited. Still, some things felt like “sloppy excuses” hidden behind sustainability, which I don’t think belong in a 5-star hotel costing more than 300€ a night. Chef Aichner does a great job. Breakfast and dinner were out of this world, with excellent products and plenty of choice, and dinner was incredibly cheap. The spacious rooms feel warm and high quality, with wood and stone. The pool was roomy and a good temperature in winter, with massage and bubble features. I didn’t use the sauna area because we had one in our room, which was great. There’s easy parking and EV charging, though some guests take up two spaces, so painted lines might help. Apparently all the taps have filtered cold water, and you can buy products to cook in your room. About 99% of the staff were wonderful, friendly, and ready to help. The gym is tiny, with hardly any equipment, only two dumbbells for the whole space and very few weight plates. There isn’t even a water fountain. Checkout at 10am is ridiculous when breakfast runs until 10:30. These are vacation rooms, not 100sqm city apartments that take a full day to clean. The sustainability issues were the biggest problem. We put the room-cleaning card outside, but the room still wasn’t cleaned, and apparently it costs 25€ to have it done. I’m not asking for a full new-check-in service, just for the bed to be made. The duvet wasn’t folded and the pillows weren’t put back in place. That has nothing to do with sustainability. Friends with small children also couldn’t get their diaper bins emptied every day. Emptying rubbish should be a basic part of a 5-star stay, and guests shouldn’t have to ask, especially after putting out the cleaning card. Reception said to come ask if we needed fresh towels. My spa towels were wet, and there was nowhere to dry them. When I asked, the receptionist questioned where my towels were as though I’d done something wrong. There’s a basket at the pool for used towels, so saving resources is one thing, but making me feel guilty and cross-examined over towels is another. The rooms also have no coffee or tea. After the property replied, I still think “energy efficiency, reduced water consumption and resource-saving cleaning concepts in order to minimize our environmental footprint” shouldn’t mean beds can’t be made. That only takes staff time, and this is meant to be a 5-star place, whatever you call it, hotel, aparthotel, or eco lodge. Taking out the rubbish shouldn’t be a guest’s job either. If it is, explain it clearly at check-in, not by handing over an iPad and expecting people to read two pages of rules on their own. My suggestion is to extend checkout time and address some of these points. Guests who know the arrangements upfront can plan accordingly.

Food was a real highlight. Breakfast had a generous range of high-quality local organic ingredients, and the €35 dinner was excellent value: a creative buffet centered on vegetables and healthy choices, with soups, meat, and two chef-prepared dishes from the open kitchen. It felt refined and rooted in local food without being heavy. We stayed in the Apart Suite M, with its own 70° sauna, views across open pastures, and a well-equipped kitchenette: microwave, fridge, stove, bins, cutlery, and dishwashing liquid. The suite was spacious and beautifully designed. We care a lot about architecture and interiors, and the materials, colors, and even small amenities all felt carefully chosen. The place is quiet and a little secluded, away from the main road and surrounded by nature. I’ve seen complaints about the nearby pastures and occasional smells, but cows and manure come with a nature escape. If that bothers you, this probably isn’t the place for you. The modern spa is well maintained and a good size, with a heated panoramic pool overlooking the lake, a steam room, a 90° Finnish sauna, another sauna, and a relaxation area. The music in the relaxation room and Finnish sauna didn’t work for us, it felt like elevator music and took away from the calm. Nature sounds or something more subtle might suit it better. Silence works too :) Daily cleaning and automatic towel changes aren’t included, which is standard for an apart-hotel and fits the concept. Towels can be changed for free if you ask before noon, while cleaning costs extra. We stayed four nights and managed fine, though for a longer stay you might want to book a cleaning. The staff keep to themselves, so it can feel almost like you have the place to yourself. Interactions are minimal and may come across as a little cold, but as introverts we liked it. If you want chatty, highly attentive service, this may not be for you. For us, it was a magical, peaceful design escape in nature, exactly what we wanted.
