B&B San Luigi

The view was beautiful, the staff were nice, and the place brought back memories of the living standards I grew up with. My wife and I even ended up laughing together about the odd things we encountered. In that sense it was a fun, nostalgic stay, but not worth the money, even at the low rate of 64€. We were traveling with our daughter, and although the hotel seemed nearly empty, we were put in the basement. We killed seven insects crawling on the floor, found dust on the furniture, and saw mold on the shower wall. The bedroom windows were frosted, but the bathroom shower window was clear glass. There was no Wi-Fi, and we had to ask for towels because none were in the room. The facilities were very old, including separate hot and cold controls at the sink and shower, and one of the three bulbs above the sink was missing. The shower was tiny. It worked for us, but a larger person could have trouble getting in and fitting. Breakfast didn't seem fresh, tasty, or hygienic. I also didn't understand why we had to enter our details and upload passport and face photos online before arrival, only to show my passport and check in with staff in the usual way at the hotel. Doing that form ourselves felt less service-minded. We didn't pay much, but I still expected better.

The room stayed pleasantly warm, and the staff were nice. But room 3 backs onto the bar, so it was noisy, and the shower took ages to warm up. We were glad to get one large mattress instead of two, though we could feel every spring. There should be hooks in the room and bathroom for towels, jackets, and other things. Breakfast wasn't much to talk about.

A cozy, inexpensive cafe with lovely views from the outdoor seating. The owner and staff were super friendly, and both the margherita pizza and espresso were just right.

The sage gnocchi was one of the best dishes I've ever eaten. The chef is a god. Buonissimo. I can die in peace now.
